Exactly like a normal scramble; but after all four players tee off and pick the best drive, the person whose shot is chosen has to sit out the next stroke. You keep repeating this cycle for every shot leading up to the hole. Once your team reaches the green, the rule drops and all four players get to putt.
After 18 holes, the top three teams, plus any teams tied for third, head to a single sudden-death hole. Best score on that hole claims the higher placement. Any remaining ties replay, hole by hole, until first, second, and third are all settled.
Every team is randomly paired with another team and serves as its Marker. You keep their score; they keep yours. Cards must be signed by the Marker at the end of each round.
Scores are entered at on-course scoring stations and posted to a live spreadsheet linked to every player. All scores must be reported before leaving the green.
Collared shirts, no denim. You're representing the profession. Plus, you might be holding a $5,000 check by the end of the day.

Not this year. The tournament is full-team only. If you're short a player or two, post in the LSAW Cascade Columbia members channel and we'll help you fill out a foursome before registration closes.
All four players tee off, the team picks the best shot, but whoever hit it sits out the next stroke. The remaining three play on until the ball reaches the green, where all four players may putt. It adds a layer of strategy and makes sure everyone's skills get tested.
Three safeguards. Paired Scoring: every team is randomly paired with another team, who acts as your Marker and keeps your score. Live Scoring: all scores are entered at on-course scoring stations and posted to a live spreadsheet linked to every player. Verified Cards: every scorecard must be signed by the Marker at the end of each round.
